Registration

Participant have read and agree to the terms and conditions of KIDOSCAR (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) (Competition terms and conditions and Film/ Video terms and conditions).

Participant have subscribed to us to receive SMS and e- mail notifications of KIDOSCAR (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.)

Competition

1.Eligibility

The participant must be a citizen of India and must be enrolled in a school. The competition is open to only Indian school students.

2.Entry

    To register for Kidoscar 2019 (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.), follow the instructions found on www.kidoscar.com. The registration to participate in Kidoscar starts from 15th February, 2019 (00:00 hours) and ends on 15th April, 2019 (23:59 hours). Once the participant registers himself/ herself, only then he/ she can submit their entry to participate in Kidoscar. The participation fee is Rs. 199.00/- per participant. Participant has to pay participation fee while submitting their entry. A participant can submit only one entry.

3.Official Video-making Period

    The Official video making and submission starts from 16th April, 2019 (00:00 hours) and end on 30th June, 2019 (23:59 hours). For detailed description, visit Film/ Video Terms and Conditions.

4.Refund Policy

There is no refund of participation fee paid to Kidoscar 2019 (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.).

5.Participation of Minors

Most of the school students are minors. Thus, all the participating students whether they are minors or not but have to submit the consent of their parents. For more details, click here (It must have the signature of the participant’s parent or legal guardian).

6.Required Information

The entries that do not include all the required information and strictly adhere to the foregoing and following requirements will be considered void and will not be considered to participate in Kidoscar 2019 (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.).

7.Cost of Production

All costs associated with the production of the entry videos are solely the responsibility of the participant. Thus, it is advised to all the participating students that do not go outside to production houses/big filmmakers/editors to produce video content. Students must make and develop their video on their own by using available equipment like camera phone of parents and free editing software available online/ offline on personal computers and in-built editing applications on phones.

8.Judging of Video Entries

Eligible video entries will be judged on the judging criteria stated below.

9.Basic Requirements to Participate

All the participants must adhere to the official Kidoscar 2019 “Film/ Video Terms and Conditions” and “Genre Guidelines” mentioned.

10.Video Terms of Submission

Only the entries which are free of copyright issues and follows all the terms and conditions will be considered to compete in Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.). By submitting an entry into Kidoscar, each participant allows Kidoscar to own all rights to the entry. Each participant further warrants and represents that the participant has obtained permission from each person who appears in the submission entry made to grant the rights to the Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.). By submitting an entry, participant agrees to the official rules and further agrees to indemnify and hold Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, agents, co-branders or other partners, and any of their employees [collectively, the Kidoscar 2019 (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) Indemnitees], harmless from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs and liabilities brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Kidoscar 2019 (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) Indemnitees due to or arising out of the participant’s entry materials or participant’s conduct during and in connection with this Kidoscar, including but not limited to trademark, copyright or other intellectual property rights, right of publicity, right of privacy or defamation. Participant agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) from any and all claims that any advertising, presentation, web content or any other material subsequently produced, presented, and/or prepared by or on behalf of Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) infringes on the rights of participant's work as contained in any entry.

11.Selection of Winners

The entries will be judged on the basis of maximum votes. The entries will be also be judged by a process in which qualified panels of judges will evaluate the eligible entries based on the following judging criteria:

  • Artistic Merit (e.g., Story, Creativity, Entertainment degree) (45%)
  • Technical Merit (30%)
  • Adherence to the selected topic (25%)

    Participants agree that the Kidoscar 2019 (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) has the sole right to decide on all matters and disputes arising from this Kidoscar 2019 and that all decisions of Kidoscar 2019 are final and binding.

    13.General Conditions

    By participating, participants agree to these Official Rules which are final and binding in all respects. The Kidoscar 2019 is governed by the laws of the ……………………. and all claims must be resolved in the ………………………….

    14.Limitations of Liability

    No liability or responsibility is assumed by Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) resulting from any student's participation in or attempt to participate in Kidoscar 2019 or ability or inability to upload or download any information in connection with participating in the Kidoscar 2019. No responsibility or liability is assumed by Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) for technical problems or technical malfunction arising in connection with any of the following occurrences which may affect the operation of the submission entry: hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or Internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any e-mail transmissions to be sent or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted e-mail transmissions; inaccessibility of the Web Site in whole or in part for any reason; traffic congestion on the Internet or the Web Site; unauthorized human or non-human intervention of the operation of the Project, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, worms; or destruction of any aspect of the submission entry, or loss, miscount, misdirection, inaccessibility or unavailability of an email account used in connection with the submission entry. Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) are not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the Website or social media sites maintained by Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.). The use of Website and the Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) Social media sites are at user's own risk. Kidoscar (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.) are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to participant's or any other person's computer equipment resulting from participation in Kidoscar 2019, use of the Website or the download of any information from the Website.

    15.Winners

    Winners will be posted online at www.kidoscar.com.

    16.Kidoscar Organizer

    The Kidoscar 2019 is organized by FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd. Nehru Place, Delhi.

Film/ Video

1. Times

The Kidoscar will be conducted PAN India from 16th April, 2019 (00:00 hours) to 30th June, 2019 (23:59 hours) (Official Time Period).

2. Creative Process

    All creativity must take place during the Official Time Period announced. Any creative work that is prepared in advance of the competition is prohibited strictly. Creative work includes, but is not limited to or you are not bound to use all:

  • Writing the script
  • Rehearsing
  • Shooting
  • Editing
  • Sound Design
  • Rendering
  • Outputting to tape or other media

3. Preparation

    The only work that you can begin prior to the Official Time Period is:

  • Building Crew
  • Building Cast
  • Arranging Costumes
  • Arranging Equipment
  • Arranging Locations

4. Footage

All footage must be shot within the Official Time Period announced for the contest.

Animation and special effects are allowed, but must be developed within the Official Time Period only.

No stock footage can be used until the team has rights to the stock image. The stock images that are permitted to use are bullets, fires, explosions, chromakeyed backgrounds, etc. Stock footage of people or any other performers is not permitted. Purchasable or downloadable pre made sequences or compositions that are available are allowed to be used but only if the majority of the film contains content (e.g., any text, image) which is created within the Official Time Period. Purchasable or downloadable pre made sequences or compositions may not include people or other performers.

The participants can use still photographs if they have rights to them. Photos can be created outside the Official Time Period but they may not be used to create the illusion of motion.

Allowed stock footage, allowed pre-made sequences and still photographs must all be carried along with a Materials Release stating that the participant/participants has rights to use them.

5. Volunteers

The cast and crew of the film must be volunteers.

6. Genre

The topic/film/video must be developed or woven around the genre selected to participate or else the entry will be disqualified.

The different genres of the competition are Gaming Videos, Comedy, Science Fiction, Story Telling, Magic Show and Travel Blogging.

7. Safety of All

Safety of cast and crew is important. Similarly, safety of animals is also important. Thus, the films that result in the death or damage of any animal will be disqualified.

8. Equipment

Participants are free to choose their own set of equipment to create the film. Any camera, any phone camera, tripods, etc. can be used. No restrictions are there in equipment category.

9. Music Rights

Participants are permitted to work with a composer and/or musician to write lyrics and record music for videos/films. Participants are also allowed to use pre-recorded music but must have the rights to any music used in the video/film and must provide releases for any kind of music used. Pre-recorded sound effects in music are permitted to use but you must have rights to use them. Even song parodies cannot be included in the video/film without a signed release from the composition’s rights holder.

10. Total Length of Running Time

The total length of the finished film must be a minimum of 3 minutes in duration and a maximum of 7 minutes in duration and it does not include introductory slates and end credits. The introductory slates and the end credits do not count towards the minimum time of 3 minutes. The video/film may not be longer than 7 minutes. If required, Kidoscar/FairGaze reserves the right to shorten any video/film that exceeds the maximum length.

11. Credits

Pre-video/film Required Slates

Before the finished video/film starts, the particular project media should have…

  • A Title Card with Video/Film name and genre
  • The official “Kidoscar 2019 (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.)” animated opening –OR- a title card with: The film title was made for Kidoscar 2019 (FairGaze Skills Pvt. Ltd.)
  • Your film follows this.

    End Credits

    End Credits of each video/film are limited to a maximum of 60 seconds. If required, Kidoscar/FairGaze reserves the right to shorten any end credits that exceeds the maximum length.

    Introductory Slates After the Competition

    For any future screenings, online or offline, videos/films should retain the Pre-video/film Required Slates

12. Required Media Formats

The film file can be submitted in any file format (SD/HD MOV and others).

13. Production Documents

Each participant/participating team must have the releases for music, photographs, or any other applicable releases that must be submitted to Kidoscar organizers with the finished video/film. The video/film will not be accepted/screened before the Kidoscar Organizers receive the signed releases.

14. Eligibility

All the entries must be the original work of the entrant. The work done must not infringe third-party’s rights; must be suitable to publish (i.e., must not be obscene or indescent); must not contain any defamatory statements about any person, company, organization or entity; must follow the privacy or other rights of any person, company or entity; must not violate laws and regulations and do not have any copyrighted elements (other than as owned by participant and Kidoscar).

Eligibility of the video/film has to be considered very strictly and if found any prohibited or inappropriate content then the video/film will be disqualified. Kidoscar/FairGaze reserves the right to make the final decision as to which entries are eligible. Kidoscar/FairGaze reserves the right to alter a film in order to remove or delete any offensive or defamatory content.

15. Non Returning of Entries

One the entry is submitted, no entry (media or documents) will be returned.

16. Disqualification

Kidoscar/FairGaze may, in their sole discretion, disqualify entries deemed to have inappropriate or otherwise non-compliant.
